We at Cedar Group love to lead a sustainable business where we care about what is going on around us. This is the reason why we give back to the community through donation of our products.
Cedar Group donates to charities all over America on a regular basis. We believe in caring through sharing. Our products are a source of joy and inspiration to so many people from all over the world. Children, especially, are overjoyed when they get to create artwork with our top notch chalk markers. We chose to donate products that were declared unfulfillable by Amazon (but are in great condition). These items are donated to charities and children's hospitals, where children need creative relief just to take their minds off the issues that face them on a day to day basis.
These are just a few examples of organizations we donated to: Draw Change in Atlanta, Angelic Assistance in California, Dreaming Zebra Foundation in Portland, Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Boys totem town in Minnesota and many more.
We also donate to people in need, so if you know someone who might need art supplies but can’t afford it, please send us an address and we will make sure he gets what he needs.
It has been shown that creating anything, however imperfect, has a big impact on self appreciation and self confidence. Our chalkboards and markers are as much about the process of creation as the end result. There's no perfect piece of art in our books, every one of the pieces of artwork made using our products is an expression of yourself, which is more important than anything. This is how our art can help children and women who are going through a hard time refocus and take control of something in their life. We have also indirectly contributed towards improving education in children from poorly developed countries.
We set out to donate to the community through various avenues such as our website and our social media pages. We did this to spread the word about our impending donations and thankfully got a lot of feedback and were able to donate everything we had. Christmas came early for all the organizations we donated to.
We donated our liquid chalk markers, chalkboards, dual brush pens and peel and stuck chalkboard labels among others. Everything was from the line of products that we currently sell.
Our chalkboards are non-porous making them ideal for our liquid chalk markers and this also makes them easy to wipe off. It's natural for kids to make mistakes when they are learning and it's always refreshing for them to know they can wipe off or delete and start over. Our labels are also reusable which means that they can last a long time. A little goes a long way.
We also donated magnetic calendars that the kids could each draw on and customize for themselves, whatever makes them happy. We also donate coloring books which have been shown to calm anxiety as one is meant to focus on the task at hand and not everything else happening in their lives.
One of the organizations we donated to, Angelic Assistance, gave us a big thank you on Instagram for the products we donated which they in turn will donate to needy children who have an artistic talent. They even created a chalkboard with details on how you can donate to their non-profit. That was lovely and one of our highlights through the entire donation process.
Another organization we donated to is Draw Change which is a non-profit which helps children through art therapy programming. This organization actually uses art to help kids who are impoverished and have no desire to go to school. Through art, they are encouraged to go to school improving their attendance and school performance. Art actually helps kids from all over the world to get an education and that is lovely in deed.
